A word from…the President | Feb-Mar 2019
G’day Everyone,
Happy New Year, I trust that everyone had a good Christmas and had some quality time with family & loved ones. Hopefully you managed to squeeze in some sort of break over the holiday season and got some much needed R&R.
It’s hard to believe as I write this that we are already halfway through January, before you know it you will be wishing for another getaway and that is where being part of the club is great. We have a good selection of trips already planned throughout the year for you to get out on and another planning meeting scheduled for next month so we can fill it up even more.
On the planning of trips, I’m the first to put up my hand and admit I don’t know everything! It really helps to have as much feedback and input from as many members as possible so we can plan activities that keep as many members interested and active in their club. I’m pretty easy to get hold of by either email or phone and I do take in what people say, so please forward your ideas.
The club as a whole also plans to try and be more involved with environmental activities that are being done by the WA4WDA and other groups/agencies during the year. We usually have a good turnout of All Tracks members, but it would be great to see some new faces at these events to help fly the flag and show that as a group we care about the environment we play in and wish to have access to. The actual clean-up days are generally easy going and quite a social day where you can have a chat and help the environment at the same time.
I don’t know about you, but I’m looking forward to what this year brings and plan on getting out where possible.
All the best, Richard
