Breton Bay (mis) Adventures

Heading north up the Mitchell Freeway, quickly discovered Dave on Ch 80 only about a kilometer behind us, so enjoyed conversation for the 40 odd minute drive to the meeting point at Wilbinga Grove. With our group together from here, we headed north up to Greenwood Coast Road, our access route into Breton Bay.

The day was full of surprises including one tyre rolled off a rim and one puncture. The driving was enjoyed by all, culminating with dinner on the beach as the sunset in the west provided a colourful backdrop. After dinner we drove up the beach and exited at Ledge Point. On the way we assisted a couple of members of the “40psi 4WD club” with the retrieval of a Hilux bogged on the tide line.

The puncture actually occurred on the way home, something slicing through the tread of a tyre on Dave’s Prado. A great day and hope you enjoy the video from Dave here. Sean F
