We started the trip with a meet up at the Pinjarra bakery in Maddington.

It was our first trip with our new car, and also to see how baby Logan would go on his first trip, and we wanted to explore a few new tracks that lead to some that we had already done before, hoping that all would go to plan and be an easy drive…..it did not.

Once everyone had finished their breakfast and coffees we headed off down the road to the beginning of our track, which we had no trouble finding.

The beginning of the track was easy and looked promising, with only a few bumps in the road. As we headed into the track more, we made our first stop to air down and give Logan a feed.

It was from here where we started to run into some obstacles, a couple dead ends in which we had to turn everyone around head back and try another track. On our travels we encountered lots of scratches, some falling trees that needed some trimming, and a very large tree that we left for Ivo to move on his own.

Only joking, it needed to be winched from the track. It was in this time where everyone come together to use some of the different gear that they carry with them, with most of it being used for the first time.

After we removed the tree from the track, we encountered yet another dead end. This was not the day we had planned, so after getting everyone to turn around we headed back out to the highway and headed down the road to another open track that we had been on before, exploring new tracks for us had come to an end.

We headed down this track for a short time and found a place to stop for lunch, getting out our chairs and everyone having a chat and a look at each other’s cars. Taking the opportunity to get a photo with our youngest and oldest members of the club together.

Continuing on after lunch, we travelled through a variety of easy opened tracks, admiring the scenery and enjoying the beautiful day that we had, it did help to be in the lead, everyone else saw a lot of dust. In all it was a great day enjoyed by all.
