November 5, 2019 4WD Show Club Magazine Information 0

Firstly, a big thank you for volunteering your valuable time to help out this weekend with the running of the Test Track at the 4WD Show.

Where is the test track this year?

The test track this year is just a bit further up from where it was last year, the best bet is to access via Taylor Street off Canning Highway.

Where can I park?

Parking as usual will fill up fast, but it does extend up towards the Causeway and I believe there will be an exit from the parking heading west onto the Causeway for you to get out.

Where is my ticket?

By now (other than Karen & Sue) you have all received your admission tickets.

When are the sessions for driving the test track?

On the ticket envelope it will state the day and whether you’re AM/PM etc. this is as per below and what you advised me you wished to do.

The morning session is from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm

The afternoon session is from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm

When do I need to be at the track, and what do I do when I get there?

As per Jan’s email, you will need to be there a half hour prior to your allotted time so that you can be taken on a recce of the track.

You will also be required to sign on and acknowledge conditions of operation of vehicles prior to driving.

Either Alan, Ray, Mark or Richard will have the form for signing.

Report to any of the following when you arrive at the test track:

  • Alan Brown 0407 771 809
  • Ray Hankinson 0412 100 877
  • Richard Cooper 0407 689 708

Alan Brown 0407 771 809, Ray Hankinson 0412 100 877 or Richard Cooper 0407 689 708 at the Test Track.

Weather

At this stage Friday and Saturday are forecast to be fairly hot.

If possible wear suitable clothing and ensure you stay hydrated

Water should be available as I’ve brought this up several times with the Association during the year – we will be right next to Main Association tent.

Club clothing

Can club members please ensure that they wear their All Tracks Club shirt each & every time they’re rostered on as it is the best way to portray the club (if you have one).

I will also have some of the new business cards that you can hand out to interested members of the public, this is a great chance to spruke the club and drive some interest.

Once again thank you and please remember this is supposed to be fun!

If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact me A.S.A.P.

Richard
