Julimar Conservation Park is a great local spot for an adventurist day out.
After filling up the coffee cups at the BP Muchea which was our meeting point we headed off around 9:30 for Julimar. 20 min later we were airing down at Heimi Rd.
As some of our group had not been here before we started on a relatively easy up and down track
and then a fence line assent with great views back over Avon Valley National Park.
Our next obstacle was a water crossing with a choice of tracks, while most took one side some chose the more adventurist route regrouping on the other side to pull out any debris.
Our next track was one that starts off looking like a bike trail but opens up to a winding gully track with some steep parts and nice views, narrow in some parts ( easy for the Jimney) but all were able to complete comfortably.
By now it was lunch time and as Lin had bought enough sausages to feed a small army I fired up the webber and onions and soon the smell of sausage sizzle was in the air.
After some great chatta and chow we proceeded to the exit of the park where we aired up for the blacktop run home.
Another great day at Julimar with ALLTRACKS4WD club.
