JULIMAR STATE FOREST 19/02/23
Attending
Shane & Emily – Mitsi Triton
Jon – Mitsi Pajero Sport
FIFO life can be a little restricting sometimes especially when it comes to recreational 4wdriving so when the urge itches and break time is right an impromptu trip is on the cards. After a call to the trip coordinator, a last minute email it was great to get a reply from Jon to say “let’s go”.
BP Muchea was the meetpoint midday Sunday and I was stoked to see Jon and his decked out mitsi paj sports ready to tackle the day.
We entered Julimar state forest at the Western boundary, aired down and set off and with a new set of wild peak at3’s I was keen to see how they would perform in this terrain and happy to say they did the job well.
The track we took is a little favourite as it has some interesting accents and descents and tyre placement is critical in some places. The look on Jon face and the excitement in his voice told me he was stoked with how his mitsi was performing being new to this kind of terrain but the mitsi ate up everything he put in front of it.

Anyone who’s been to Julimar would know about the good old dummy Spit Hill challenge however this time we chose to turn left and take the scenic track out but still has a few challenging spots as the tracks are being well used.
We finished with a decent down the boundary overlooking the valley and a short fun detour track were we stopped to air up and exchange some pics.
Thanks Jon for answering the call and joining in on an enjoyable afternoon.
