We all gathered at the beginning of the track on Flynn Road and had a chat about the trip ahead.

This is the 3rd time I have done this track and the second time at night.

We started off with a section that had been washed out over time and is a bit of a challenge with many a wheel lift and scraping of side steps.

As per usual I took the hard line and was closely followed by Keith in the new Ford Raptor. What a nice-looking ute it is. Plus, it was up to the challenge with good ground clearance.

The powerlines has a number of hard tracks thankfully with some chicken tracks so as to avoid damaging the cars. Typically, I tried a bit of a narrow climb with a steep exit and found myself getting caught up on the diff.

The crew positioned a couple of cars and set up a double winch pull and I was soon out all be it with a bit of damage to the side step.

Once free from my “Temporary Parking spot” We continued towards Flat rock where Roger and Don decided to take on a near vertical challenging track. Both were successful. This is where we had a quick stop for a bite to eat and another chat.

A bit further along the track we took a right turn onto a side track which back tracks to Flynn Road. It starts off with a nice easy forest access track. There were a few trees over the track, so we had to go around them.

The track changes from easy sand to a rocky decent with a few boulders positioned to make it a bit more challenging.

When you arrive at Flynn Road for the first time this is not the end of the track. A quick right turn takes you up a very rocky and bumpy section of track which seems to go on for ever.

As you guessed What goes up must go down. At the top of the hill, you are faced with a section of track that has been washed out to expose large boulders which make for a great downhill ride.

Now for the last obstacle! When you arrive at the bottom of the rocky hill there is another uphill climb which looks harder than it is in the dark.

We all made it up to the top and aired up the tyres. Another chat around the tailgate of the car before we all set off home.

As far as I am aware there was no damage to the other cars except a few scrapes on the side steps.

I hope you all had fun because I sure did.

Cheers until next time All Trackers.
